Everything Everywhere - (Orange PCN) - Network Management System

ECS were commissioned to review an existing Network Management database application and to bring it under professional build control.  Working closely with the Orange technical teams, a strict development methodology was introduced and plans put in place for a bi-monthly release schedule.  Build control, documentation and coding standards were agreed.  This application is now able to deliver benefits faster and more efficiently than ever before. 

Opportunities to improve the original coding are now being taken, allowing improvements to the run time efficiency, simplifying upgrades and enabling a reliable migration to an uprated platform.

ECS are now accepted as the recognised design Authority for this key Network Management application.

This was a highly unusual project for ECS to take on, in that we were able to share our in-house methods and disciplines and build strong working relationships with the Orange software development and support team. Our previous experience of working on large Network Management Systems with B.T. came in very handy!
